Daniel Bilsky
Daniel practices primarily in the area of family law and works with clients on a wide range of matters including divorce, allocation of parental responsibilities, parenting time, and related financial issues. Daniel approaches each case with a practical and thoughtful perspective, recognizing that family law matters often involve both complex legal issues and deeply personal concerns. He works closely with his clients to help them navigate challenging situations and reach fair, workable resolutions.
Daniel earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 2005 and received his Juris Doctor from Marquette University Law School in 2008. While in law school, he authored From Parts Unknown: WWE v. Jim Hellwig in the Ultimate Battle for Character Copyright, published in the Marquette Sports Law Review. He later earned a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Family Law from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2010. Daniel also contributed to the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education publication Prenuptial and Postnuptial Agreements.
Daniel practiced for more than a decade at Beermann Law Group, Ltd., where he focused extensively on family law matters. In addition to representing clients in court and in negotiations, Daniel has served the Nineteenth Judicial Circuit in Lake County as an approved mediator since 2017, a court-appointed Child Representative and Guardian ad Litem since 2017, and a Parenting Coordinator beginning in 2025.
Daniel is a member of the Lake County Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association, and the Lake County Association of Women Attorneys.
